At Çekmeköy on the Northern Marmara Motorway, a truck whose driver lost control crashed into a gendarmerie vehicle at a checkpoint. After the impact, the patrol vehicle fell into an irrigation canal. Five people were injured in the accident, including two gendarmerie personnel and two people from the truck.
