A truck travelling with its dumper raised has hit a footbridge in Istanbul, injuring a pedestrian who was crossing it.

Security camera video of the accident released by police shows the truck travelling on an Istanbul highway crashing through the pedestrian overpass and the pedestrian falling off it, and hitting the road.

Footage also shows passers-by rushing to the man’s aid. Two other people on the footbridge escaped without injury.

Police are investigating why the truck was travelling with its dumper raised.
